Shark Education in Bimini, The Bahamas

Our ambassador Candace Fields, who is from New Providence in The Bahamas, recently joined our founder Jillian Morris in Bimini. The team visited Louise McDonald High School as well as Bimini Primary.

Candace and Jillian taught students in grades 1-6 all about the sharks of The Bahamas, the shark sanctuary, the importance of sharks, and how students can help save them.

Candace also spoke to students in grades 7, 9, 10, and 12 at Louise McDonald High School. She talked about how scientists study sharks, including her research. She also discussed career opportunities and how students can help sharks.

The team spoke to over 200 students and was able to donate activity packets, 3D models, and shark posters to the students and schools.

Thanks to Bimini Primary and Louise McDonald High School for welcoming us!
