Lemon sharks ( Negaprion brevirostris) spend the first 3-7 years of their life in and around the mangrove nursery habitat. Juvenile lemon sharks have "best buddies" just like we do.

Lemon sharks give birth to live young. The pups must break free from their umbilical cord, which leaves a little shark belly button.
